Get away

I wish
To get away to somber lands,
Into some woods, and lakes, to fish.
To hike about steepy moss,
To contemplate the gain and loss.
Expand
Horizons for the eyes,
Get air in my lungs, full size.
To lounge with mint tea in a hammock,
While bumblebees sleep on the shamrock.
I'm cranky here,
I'm dulling, caged.
I've zero progress in carrier,
The novel shapeless and unpaged,
I wish to go!
I wish to sit somewhere alone,
Turn off my chores, turn off my phone,
To eat a charcoal-broiled pike I'd fish,
But... dragon is more real a wish.
